The BEST cocoa energy balls (Approx. 18 small balls)
These cocoa energy balls are quick, healthy, and perfect for a snack or post-workout boost. Naturally sweetened with dates and packed with oats, peanut butter, and optional protein powder, they’re vegan, gluten-free, and utterly delicious.
INGREDIENTS:

- 1
cup pitted dates (soaked 5–10 mins)
- Pinch
of salt
- 1
tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
- 2
tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 2
tbsp cocoa powder
- 1
scoop vegan banana-flavored protein powder (optional)
- 4
tbsp peanut butter
- 2–4
tbsp water (adjust as needed for consistency)
- Optional:
shredded coconut or melted dark chocolate for decoration
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Blend
the dates: Place soaked dates in a blender with 1–2 tbsp water and
blend into a smooth paste.
- Mix
ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the date paste with oats, salt,
cinnamon, flaxseeds, cocoa powder, protein powder (if using), and peanut
butter. Mix well.
- Form
the balls: Wet your hands slightly and roll the mixture into small
balls (approx. 18).
- Decorate
(optional): Roll in shredded coconut or drizzle with melted dark
chocolate.
- Store: Keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Tip: If the mixture feels too dry, add a little more water or peanut butter. For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt on top!
